Sterols can be incorporated into your daily diet as well, they are nutritious substances found in plant cell membranes. Sterols can be found in foods like, sunflower seeds and wheat germ. Their main function is to reduce the production of cholesterol by inhibiting access to the small intestines hence lowering cholesterol levels. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle by eating a well balanced diet and exercising regularly to keep your levels of cholesterol low could save your life.
